'I'm also interested in the sense of presence of space; that is space where you feel a presence, almost an entity—that physical feeling and power that space can give.' James Turell.
In my artistic practice I treat space not just a backdrop for my objects but a tangible subject, a potent force that can be almost touched and harnessed to fully unveil the narrative of artwork, creating a fresh experience of it. My exploration of spaces spans installation, performance, video works, and material experimentation, aiming to understand their varied experiences in time and consciousness. I challenge conventional notions related to everyday life, established norms, and physical and mental boundaries. Each space possesses its unique rules and narratives that dictate the navigation of the active participant within.
I am interested in the topics of human identity, origin (when and where consciousness was found and what signs testify to it), mythology and psychology. Of particular importance to me are the internal processes and states within individuals that motivate various strategies to combat anxiety and uncertainty.
One of the key processes in my artistic practice is experimentation with materials. I deliberately choose natural materials such as coal, honey, moss, kombucha, etc., fostering unstable connections and results. This material choice introduces a dimension of temporality and fragility to my works.
